The best new slot games to play this October
This month’s list takes you to a volcano, Mount Olympus and a haunted mansion.
There’s a trend in the lineup of recently released titles; studios are going back to the games players already love.
Pragmatic Play has new games in two of its biggest series, Gameburger gave its 12 Masks of Fire series a new jackpot mechanic, and the Huff N Puff mansion has a haunting.
Here are seven of the best new slots we’re playing this month.
1. 12 Masks of Fire Eruption Prize Flow™
RTP: 94%
Volatility: High
Min. bet: $0.20
Max bet: $100
Max win: 5,000x
Provider: Games Global
Available in: Ontario and Alberta
Gameburger built this one around reels running down the sides of the grid, stocked with cash prizes, jackpot tokens and combo prizes. Prize Bombs that land in the middle collect from those side reels, and a Jumbo Prize Bomb can grab up to 40 in a single spin.
Free spins come with extra Prize Bombs, and the Jackpot Bonus keeps spinning until at least one jackpot has paid. Volatility is high and the max win is 5,000x.
2. Big Bass Halloween Splash 1000
RTP: 94.5%
Volatility: Medium
Min. bet: $0.10
Max bet: $50
Max win: 20,000x
Provider: Pragmatic Play
Available in: Ontario and Alberta
The Big Bass fisherman is back just in time for Halloween. Before free spins begin in the bonus round, you choose one of six pumpkins for an upgrade like extra spins, more fish or a head start at level 2, and pumpkins that land during the bonus give you another pick.
Three Halloween modifiers can kick in at the end of a spin. Trick or Treat adds fish when the fisherman has nothing to collect, Spider brings in a fisherman when fish land without one, and the Bazooka changes symbols on the reels. Fish are worth up to 1,000x, volatility is medium and the max win is 20,000x.
3. Gates of Olympus 2500
RTP: 94.5%
Volatility: High
Min. bet: $0.20
Max bet: $40
Max win: 25,000x
Provider: Pragmatic Play
Available in: Ontario and Alberta
Multipliers in this sequel reach 2,500x, and the max win climbs to 25,000x. Pragmatic also rebuilt the bonus. Four scatters spin a wheel that picks one of four free spins modes, and in Free Spins 2 every multiplier that drops gets counted, even on spins that don’t win.
The Super modes start multipliers at 10x. It’s highly volatile and one of the best Gates games yet.
4. Huff N Puff Haunted Mansion
RTP: 94%
Volatility: Medium
Min. bet: $0.20
Max bet: $180
Max win: 5,350x
Provider: Light and Wonder
Available in: Ontario
The pigs are dressed as skeletons and monsters, and the wolf has moved on to the graveyard. Coffin frames in white, red and gold pay more at each tier. Mystery Stacked Reels show up in the base game and the bonuses.
The Haunted Mansion feature holds cash prizes, three jackpots and three different six-spin bonuses. Land six or more pumpkins to trigger Free Spins.
5. Immortal Romance Assembl’em™
RTP: 94%
Volatility: High
Min. bet: $0.20
Max bet: $75 ($25 in Alberta)
Max win: 5,000x
Provider: Games Global
Available in: Ontario and Alberta
The vampire romance gets a new mechanic built around collecting. You unlock up to five feature cards, and they level up from Ruby to Gold to Diamond as you play. They don’t reset once they’ve upgraded, so your progress carries over.
Tokens on the reels trigger Ultra Link&Win respins, where only coins can land and booster coins add multipliers, collects and jackpots.
6. Eruption Blaze CASHINGO™
RTP: 94%
Volatility: High
Min. bet: $0.20
Max bet: $75
Max win: 13,333x
Provider: Games Global
Available in: Ontario and Alberta
Slingshot Studios set this new CASHINGO game on the side of an erupting volcano. Cash and jackpot coins that land on the reels, and completing a line across, down or diagonally on the left pays out the prizes in it. Finish a line with a jackpot coin and you win that jackpot, up to the 5,000x Grand.
Six or more coins trigger ULTRA Link&Win, where keys unlock extra rows, and in free spins Power Stacks can stack wilds or coins across all five reels.
7. Triple Power Cash Strike
RTP: 94%
Volatility: High
Min. bet: $0.10
Max bet: $50
Max win: 12,500x
Provider: Blueprint
Available in: Ontario and Alberta
Cash Strike is back, and this time it throws fireballs. Every fireball that lands drops into the pot of the same colour above the reels, and those pots decide how Power Spins plays out.
Green adds up to three extra rows, red collects every cash prize on screen, and blue brings multipliers up to 5x. If you fill all three pots, you get all three upgrades together.
See you in November
We’ll be back next month with November’s new releases. Until then, play within the limits you set and treat every spin as entertainment.
